G.S.B.V. Tweeslag - English

Dear Tweeslaggers. 

We have the honor to be the weekendcie this year. We will take care of the two most sensational, memorable and unprecedented fun weekends: The Batavierenrace and The Ameland Weekend.

The Batavierenrace is the largest relay race in the world, with participants running from Nijmegen to Enschede every year. The 52nd Batavierenrace will be held on May 24 and 25, 2024. During this weekend, there are 25 stages with different distances that can be run, totaling 175 km. On Saturday night after the race is over there is a party. In fact, this is the biggest student party in Europe! You should not want to miss this! Keep the date free ;)

We also organize the Ameland weekend. This is the end of the year! During this weekend the most legendary stories arise, which you will hear the rest of the year. On Saturday there is a big beach volleyball tournament on the beach where everyone can participate at their own level. This is another weekend you don't want to miss! The weekend will take place on June 28-30, keep this one free in your calendar as well!

Chairman: Florian 

Hello everybody, this year I have the honor of being chairman of this already legendary committee. It is up to me to make sure that everyone on the committee keeps doing their best ;). I have been with the association for a good year now and I did the Introduccie last year. T'vo

Secretary: Nicole

 Hey everyone, my name is Nicole and I am 20 years old. I study nursing and this is my second year at Tweeslag. I look forward to fulfilling the secretary position! P.S. I am very motivated to win the committee cup 

Treasurer: Silvia

I am Silvia, I am originally from Italy but I have been living in Groningen for 4 years and 2 of these years I have been a member of the beautiful Tweeslag. This year I will hold the position of Treasurer within the Weekendcie! Furthermore, I study Linguistics and work part-time as a translator.

Chef Bata: Manon

 Hiii, I’m Manon and I’m 20 years old. I’m a member of Tweeslag since February. This year I’m responsible for the Batavierenrace as chef Bata. I hope to see all of you there!

Hello! My name is Jantina and I am 23 years old. I am studying speech therapy and am currently in my graduation year. I also enjoy working as a shiftleader at BOEL. Since February I have been a proud member of Tweeslag and now I can take on the role of chief Ameland within the Weekendcie. I am really looking forward to it and hope to see you all there

General member: Moniek

Hii, my name is Moniek and I am 22 years old. I am currently in my 1st year of the master Healthy Ageing (Human Movement sciences). I also work in the hospital and behind the bar at the Oosterpoort and Fc Groningen. This is my 3rd year at tweeslag and I get to fulfill the important role of General member in the Weekendcie. I am looking forward to it and hope to see you at the Batavierenrace and the Ameland weekend!
