Sem Nijenhuis

Yooooow,
I’m Sem Nijenhuis, 24 years old, born and raised in the beautiful city of Zwolluh. In 2019, I moved to Groningen to study physics. After a last-minute participation in Tweeslag Beach, I was convinced to join the most wonderful association in the north. I started out in the legendary BT8, and what followed were countless drinks, tournaments, and the occasional training session. Since then, I can’t get enough of the beach volleyball court, I love playing matches that last at least 3 hours. I can already hear you thinking: “Does this guy even have a life outside of Tweeslag?” Not really… but if I do end up doing something else in my free time, it’s usually playing football on a half field or having beers with friends. My studies are on pause for now, which means I’m taking a gap year — and I’m filling it by proudly serving as the External Commissioner of the 25–26 board. Together with the five ladies on the board, it promises to be an eventful year. Jetzt geht Loos!
In my role, I’m responsible for the promotion and acquisition of the association. For example, I manage the Instagram account, create the newsletter, and maintain relationships with sponsors while also searching for new ones.
