Tweeslag thrives on its active members and you can be part of that! The committees of Tweeslag are responsible for the best activities, trips, parties and much more. Whether you're super creative, love organizing or just feel like working together with your fellow Tweeslaggers, there's always a committee that suits you. AcCie
The AcCie is one of the most active committees within Tweeslag. Every month, they organize a fun activity and a social drink. The monthly activity can be anything, so you can be as creative as you like. During the introduction periods (in September and March), the IntroducCie takes over temporarily, so the AcCie doesn't have to organize any activities, drinks or tournaments then. In addition to the activities and drinks, the AcCie also organizes two special tournaments: one together with Shot, the beach volleyball club from Delft, and the family tournament, where relatives can participate. Weekly meetings are important, not just because there’s a lot to arrange, but also because it’s fun to come up with ideas together.
AlumniCie
The AlumniCie ensures that Tweeslag’s former members stay involved with the association. The committee members organize one drink and one activity during the year especially for alumni.
Beach Team Groningen
Beach Team Groningen is looking for you! The BTG committee manages everything related to Dames 1 and Heren 1 of Beach Team Groningen. In the coming years, we want to raise the level of our players and aim for stable participation in the Top Division and Premier League. To achieve this, we make sure everything around the teams and training is well organized. Additionally, we will focus on:
Organizing a fun and educational clinic for the rest of Tweeslag
Acquisition and finding new sponsors for BTG
Keeping our BTG Instagram active and up to date
Organizing at least one division tournament per year (usually more!) – always a weekend full of great matches and fun
Organizing a training weekend for Dames 1 and Heren 1
The BTG committee is not time-consuming (we meet about once a month) but we do want to make it a fun year together. In the past, the committee only consisted of BTG players, but starting this year, we want to involve people from the entire association. CompetiCie
The CompetiCie organizes two big tournaments: Tweeslag Beach and the Company Tournament. Tweeslag Beach is a beach volleyball tournament held at the Hoornsemeer beach, with participants from Tweeslag as well as external teams of all levels. During this tournament, there is also a sponsor raffle, organized in cooperation with the Commissaris Intern. The Company Tournament takes place the day before, at the same location. Besides these tournaments, the CompetiCie also organizes Tweeslag’s internal competition. This starts early in the season, so preparations begin right away. This year, the CompetiCie will also take over from the AcCie to organize an exciting tournament every month.
IntroducCie
The IntroducCie makes sure new members immediately feel welcome at Tweeslag. This committee organizes two introduction periods and the KEI-week, during which new members are introduced to the association. The first introduction period takes place at the end of block 1 and starts in February. During this time, various activities are organized to help new members get to know Tweeslag. Small groups are also formed during the introduction periods, called Tweeslag Families. The second introduction period takes place in September and starts with a big introduction camp. A borrel and a LOT-tournament are also planned. Both periods focus on getting to know each other and having fun. The IntroducCie also organizes and arranges many aspects of KEI-week to make it a fantastic experience. The start of the year is relatively calm, but from February or March things speed up, and the committee meets more often to keep everything on track.
KledingCie
The KledingCie manages the Tweeslag clothing line and organizes several clothing campaigns each year. They have freedom to choose the assortment and what kind of campaigns to set up. This year, we have a contract with DressMe, who takes care of clothing delivery. Regular meetings are necessary.
RedacCie
The RedacCie is responsible for Tweeslag’s magazine, 't Tweetje. This committee comes up with the content and designs the magazine. In 't Tweetje, you’ll find everything related to Tweeslag, such as fun facts, interesting updates and other creative features. The full design is in your hands, so you can express all your creativity in text and layout. The RedacCie does not meet very often, making it perfect for anyone who wants to contribute to the association but doesn’t have time for weekly meetings.
VakanCie
The VakanCie organizes a ski trip and, if they want, a summer holiday especially for Tweeslag members. Fun activities are arranged during the ski trip, and you're free to organize a summer holiday too. Planning for the ski trip begins at the start of the academic year. The committee also acts as the contact point for everyone going on the trip.
VKDT
The VKDT Gala is organized once every two years in collaboration with Veracles, Kroton and Donitas. It’s a great opportunity to meet members from other associations.
WeekendCie
The WeekendCie is responsible for organizing the Batavierenrace and the Ameland weekend. The Batavierenrace is a race held in May in Enschede. It’s organized by and for students. Thousands of students attend, and while running is important, the main focus is on socializing and parties. For this event, the WeekendCie arranges registration, stage planning and everything else around it. The legendary Ameland weekend usually takes place at the end of June. The beaches of Ameland are filled with beach volleyball courts, and at night there are epic parties. We all stay together in a group accommodation. On Friday and Saturday, the WeekendCie organizes a fun evening program for everyone. The committee arranges the accommodation and of course ensures plenty of fun during this amazing weekend. The busiest time for the committee is from April to June. During that period there are lots of meetings and planning; the other months are a bit quieter.
